A Quintessential English Cottage
Hi everyone, well I recently found Art Impressions on my You Tube surfing to find something to help me learn to watercolour and to induce some peace and serenity into my life oh and boy am I glad I found them. I joined the Art Impressions Facebook Group and I am now embarking on a wonderful journey with their fantastic stamps.
Today I am going to share with you a card I have made that can be used for any occasion…
I have used a watercolour card, a mix of Lyra Aqua Brush Duo Pens and Distress Inks as that’s what I have in my stash for now.
I started by stamping the cottage out first then I pulled the colour out of the lines using a damp paintbrush,I then created a few different colour combinations on my palette to emulate a
cottage so there were browns and oranges and yellows and a sepia
I then painted the cottage with these colours in a pleasing way ensuring I took care to highlight detail with the darks and shadows.
I then used Distress Ink in green on the Leaves stamp and stamped a few times in rotation and added the grasses and the flowers, all the while going in with a damp brush to emphasize the flowers and the greenery, I used the Bare Branch Stamp for the trees, I then created a path and added a sky. I hope you like my card and will have a go yourself.
