Secret Garden

Did you ever dream of a secret garden when you were young? Oh the adventures you could have if you only just opened the door and walked through……..

Here I have created the door to my own secret garden. I started out stamping the door on to some watercolour card and pulled the colour out to create a kind of washed out old look.
I then added the foliage and trees around the door in a pleasing layout and used my dampened brush to highlight the blossom on the trees and the flowers at the base of the door I added a wash of brown to give the impression a a stone wall and added a bit of sky and a couple of birds to finish.
